LandArt,

art in the landscape,

usually consists of ephemeral works.

For François, it is something solid;

his sculpture in the landscape is stone

and the rawness of this natural material.

He erects his stones,

but they remain connected to the Earth.

For this, he takes the time for exploration,

listening, and becoming aware

of the language of each one.

"If you listen closely, even the stones will speak." from Dialogues with the Angel.

Then comes the moment for him to measure himself against these stones,

to reveal the dynamic force that sets

in motion the power buried

within their mineral essence.

And then they become part

of the history of the landscape,

with all movements, changes in light,

and alterations integrating

into the spirit of nature.
